Secil Alkış was graduated from Fine Arts Faculty of Dokuz Eylul University (BA) in İzmir, Turkey. Afterwards she worked at Dirimart Gallery in Istanbul, which is a well-known Contemporary Art Gallery in Istanbul, to have hands-on experience on Institutional communication. She later worked at Proje4L/Elgiz Museum of Contemporary Art as the exhibition coordinator. She was the Gallery Director and the Curator assistant at Leila Heller Gallery and Art in General magazine in New York, USA. After having these experiences in New York, she decided to move back to Turkey. Worked with ALAN Istanbul Gallery for more than two years as the Gallery Director and as the Chief Editor of WARHOLA Contemporary Art Magazine and she gives trainees about Contemporary Art.
She is now working with Rodeo Gallery, a well-known Art Gallery based in London, as the Gallery Director and also working at Ekavart Gallery as the Art Consultant and Project Developer. She has been serving as the Art Consultant of two artists: Halil Vurucuoglu and Merve Sendil, for more than four years. Throughout these positions she developed valuable communication and analytical skills and remain motivated to bring her best efforts to every project besides her artistic skills. Experiencing on working as a tutor in Contemporary Art is a wonderful opportunity to her on progressing her career and expressing her ideology through helping people to experience the Istanbul Contemporary Art World.
